Welcome to the Minot Park District. We have a wide variety of excellent park and recreation facilities and we welcome residents and visitors alike to enjoy what we have to offer. There is something for everyone here in Minot, so please take some time to discover the wonderful opportunities available to you. Our parks and recreation facilities cover over 700 acres with a wide range of parks and facilites. We have many small neighborhood parks, several large community parks, fitness trails, bike trails, skateboard parks, tennis courts, swimming pool and a dog park spread throughout the city. Most of the parks contain well-maintained playground equipment, picnic shelters and other amenities available for your enjoymentOur larger facilities include several gems in the community. For the golf enthusiast, we have one of the best 18 hole public courses in the state in Souris Valley Golf Course. The Wee Links is a beautiful 9-hole course for kids, and is also unique in the state of ND. The Roosevelt Park Zoo is another hidden treasure, an AZA accredited zoological facility with an amazing living collection that can't be matched in our state. MAYSA Arena is a first class ice facility with two full size ice sheets and offers year round ice for the community. A visit to Minot would not be complete without a visit to the Scandinavian Heritage Park, a beautiful collection of statues and buildings including a Stave Church and visitor center in a wonderful park setting. The Minot Park Board encourages your opinions and thoughts about the operation of the many parks and facilities. Your input is important and is used to help us increase the enjoyment of future park and facility users.
